Pakistan’s senior pro Mohammad Hafeez took to twitter to announce that he underwent a second Covid-19 test along with his family and has tested negative this time.
The 39-year-old stated that he went for a ‘second opinion’, a day after PCB announced a list of seven players – including Hafeez – who tested positive.
Hafeez was part of the 29-member Pakistan squad that was set to leave for England on June 28 for their tour comprising three Tests and three T20Is.
Following the announcement made by the PCB on Tuesday, the board’s CEO Wasim Khan was quick to reiterate that the tour of England was going to happen as planned and the players would depart from Pakistan as scheduled. It remains to be seen how PCB treats this latest development from Hafeez.
