The incident occurred on 42nd Street in Alibaba Neighborhood in the evening. Mustafa Deniz, convicted of 31 different crimes in Sivas Open Prison, escaped. Police teams started work to catch the escaped prisoner.
In an 8-storey apartment on the street, the teams took the notice that Mustafa Deniz was hiding. When Mustafa Deniz noticed the teams, he went up to the roof of the apartment and said that he had a gun next to him and would hurt himself if they approached.

Thereupon, health teams were sent to the region. Mustafa Deniz surrendered after the teams’ persuasion efforts, which lasted about 3 hours. It was learned that the escaped prisoner, who was taken to the Provincial Security Directorate for his statement, would be sent back to prison after his proceedings. (DHA)
