Turkey : Last Minute… Transport Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan was dismissed

According to the Appointment and Dismissal Decisions published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Cahit Turan was dismissed and Adil Karaismailoğlu was appointed instead.

Said assignment was made in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey and 106’nc 104 agents.

WHO IS ADİL KARAİSMAİLOĞLU

Adil Karaismailoğlu was born in Trabzon in 1969, graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Engineering Faculty Mechanical Engineer. He completed his master’s degree at Bahçeşehir University Urban Systems and Transportation Management program.

In 1995, he started his first job at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Transportation Coordination Directorate. He moved to IETT General Directorate in 1998. He worked as an engineer and manager in various units of IETT.

Adil Karaismailoğlu

Since 2002, he was appointed as the Assistant Manager responsible for traffic control center, signalization and smart traffic systems at the IMM Traffic Directorate, and was appointed to the Transportation Coordination Directorate on November 16, 2009. He was appointed as the Head of Transportation Department on July 23, 2014.

Karaismailoğlu was appointed as the Head of the Istanbul Real Estate Department at the Prime Ministry Mass Housing Administration (TOKİ) in July 2016, and as the Deputy Secretary General of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in April 2018.

In September 2019, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure by the decree issued by President Erdoğan. İsmail Karaismailoğlu, 51, is married and has two children.
