After the resignation of Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu in Pazar district of Rize, a person named F.Y, attempted suicide by climbing on the roof of a 5-storey building in the district center.
DIFFICULT CONSIDERED
When the surrounding citizens informed the security forces who saw them, the police came to the scene and tried to persuade F.Y, who started crying by saying “My martyrs are calling me”.
Firefighters took precautions while the police continued persuasion, saying the resignation was not accepted. Convinced that Soylu did not resign, F.Y was later taken down from the roof of the building.
