Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), made inspections at the Seymen Landfill Gas Energy Production Facility, which is under construction in Silivri. Silivri Mayor Volkan Yılmaz was accompanied by İBB Mayor consultations Ertan Yıldız Yiğit Duman and İSTAÇ General Manager Mustafa Canlı.
Prior to the study trip, İstanbul Enerji A.Ş. In his presentation, General Manager Mehmet Aslan Değirmenci emphasized that the project will be the largest facility in the world that will generate energy from landfill gas installed in a single area.
ELECTRICITY OF 90 THOUSAND HOUSES WILL BE PROVIDED IN THE FIRST STAGE
Değirmenci, saying that the first phase of the facility will open on August 15, will start with a capacity of ’17 MWe and will meet the electricity needs of 90 thousand households. 90 thousand households mean meeting the needs of all households of Beylikdüzü district. We will reach 25 MWe at the end of the year. To meet the electricity needs of all households of Beylikdüzü and Silivri in 130 thousand households. When we reach full capacity and 90 MWe, we will reach 465 thousand households. 465 thousand households also mean the following: The electricity needs of 1 million 800 thousand households in Silivri, Çatalca, Büyükçekmece, Beylikdüzü and Esenyurt will be met from this facility. We will make a profit equivalent to the withdrawal of 2 million 300 thousand vehicles from traffic. ”

Imamoglu also said, “It is an essential job for us in every aspect. Whatever we have in our hand, we want to sacrifice here and carry this process. Our Mayor of Silivri is also aware of this process. Together we will stand up this work. We are looking forward to August 15, “he said.
