According to data shared by Tehran University Seismology Center, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake occurred at 00.48 local time in Demavand city of Tehran.
The earthquake occurred with a depth of 7 kilometers.
Iranian Emergency Services Agency Spokesperson Mücteba Halidi said that first aid teams were sent to the region after the earthquake.
While the earthquake is felt in the cities of Kum, Elburz and Gazvin, no explanation has been made yet regarding the loss of life or property. IHA
