The incident occurred in the rural Dora neighborhood of Kızıltepe district in the morning. Mehmet A. (45) followed his relative Kerim Karaboğa (20) and his cousin Şahin Karaboğa (35), who were hostile due to the land conflict. During a follow-up that continued for a while, Mehmet A. opened a paper clip with a long barrel gun after stopping the vehicle.
Two cousins who were shot as a result of the opened fire were injured. After the first intervention to the injured, the medical officers who came to the scene of the notifications took the ambulances to Kızıltepe State Hospital.
Kerim Karaboğa, one of the injured who were treated in the emergency room, died. While the dead body of Kerim Karaboğa is removed to the hospital morgue for autopsy, Şahin Karaboğa’s treatment in the emergency room continues.
The gendarmerie teams launched an investigation to catch Mehmet A., who fled the scene after the attack. (DHA)
