Turkey : CORONA first lens in Turkey … striking the US, China and Israel details

corona virus that affects many people all over the world within a short time, starting in China, along with fears caused by the appearance of the first cases in Turkey. This issue, which suddenly came to the fore, did not affect some of them while watching some of them close to home and watch virus news on the screen, some even thought that the issue was exaggerated.

The research carried out by BAREM on the corona virus outbreak reveals the first concrete conclusion of the Turkish people.

Here are the interesting results from the research:

TWO OF THREE PEOPLE FEAR

The first question posed to the interviewees in the study was whether they or one of their families feared getting infected with this virus. 67 percent of people have this fear. The percentage of people who state that they are not afraid of the corona virus is 31 percent. That is, 2 out of every 3 people participating in the research are in fear.

ELDERLY WORRIES

Research data show that as age increases, anxiety about corona virus decreases. Fear, which is 72 percent in people 24 and under, drops to 57 percent in people 65 and over.

However, experts point to over 60 as one of the most risky groups. When separated by gender, fear and anxiety are more common in women, compared to 71 percent.

While the percentage of those who ‘absolutely’ fear that he or his family is infected with viruses is 13 percent in high school and under educated people, this rate increases to 23 percent in university and above educated people.

TRUST TO THE MINISTRY FULL

According to research data, the Ministry of Health is thought to manage the virus outbreak well. 69 percent of the interviewed people defend this idea. This rate is even higher in men (74 percent) and people over 55 (75 percent).

Is it exaggerated?

While 52 percent of the interviewed people think that the epidemic threat is exaggerated, 43 percent of them think that the risk is not exaggerated and the risk is quite high. For this reason, 3 out of 4 people interviewed are ready to give up their travel and similar rights if they are to prevent the spread of the virus.

The rate of those who say that in high school educated people is over 80 percent.

WHEN IS IT GOING TO END?

The rate of those who think that we will be better off in the next month about the epidemic is quite high (64 percent). Hope increases with age. While only half of the young people under the age of 24 agree with this idea, 78 percent of people aged 65 and over think that we will be at a better point in the corona virus outbreak next month.

THREE PRECAUTIONS FRONT PLAN

When asked if the respondents were asked to take action against the corona virus threat, 31 percent of the respondents say that they did not take any action. People who stated that they took measures (69 percent) talk about taking 3 types of measures.

In the precautions taken, washing the hands takes the first place more frequently. Getting out of the house is second, using hand disinfectant is third, personal contact is fourth, wearing a mask is fifth, and using cologne is sixth. 43 percent of the interviewees state that they wash their hands more often due to the risk of epidemic.

It is followed by leaving the home less than 15 percent and reducing social interaction. Using hand disinfectant is 15 percent, cutting personal contact (not shaking hands, kissing, hugs) 12 percent, wearing a mask 10 percent, using cologne and vinegar are among the most popular measures taken against the virus epidemic.

RESPONSIBLE USA

While 38 percent of the interviewed people think that the virus is a natural occurrence; a larger mass (43 percent) suspects an unknown force behind the spread of the virus so rapidly.

The top of the suspects that come to mind of the Turkish people is the USA with a rate of 24 percent. The second country suspected of spreading the virus is China, with 10 percent. Israel is followed by 5 percent. Among the lesser mentioned countries are Russia, Germany, England, Japan, Iran, South Korea and Syria. “Imperialists”, “great powers”, countries where the pharmaceutical industry is strong, and countries that will find the anti virus and vaccine are also among the suspects.
