In his statement to the journalists, Tunisian Interior Minister Hisham al-Meshi said that people who carry the corona virus can be prosecuted for “killing people” if they act without complying with the quarantine instructions of the Ministry of Health.
“If a sick person does not quarantine himself in accordance with the Ministry of Health’s instructions and infects another person, we will follow them according to the penal code. If this cross-contamination results in death, they can be tried for killing a man. ”
“We will be strict in enforcing the law, and our responsibility is to protect the public,” said Al-Meshi.
It was also reported that hundreds of people were arrested across the country for violating the curfew.
On the other hand, 623 corona virus cases were recorded in Tunisia, where there has been a curfew between 18.00-06.00, since March 18, 23 people died. (IHA)
