The casting of 3 million cubic meters of concrete in Yusufeli Dam, the 5th part of the Taşlıdere Valley improvement of the Central and Güneysu district of Rize, which was completed, and the opening of the Bayburt Demirözü Irrigation project were held with a ceremony.
During the ceremonies attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan via video conferencing, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry in the district of Yusufeli. Bekir Pakdemirli, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, President Adviser Israfil barracks, Artvin Governor Yilmaz Doruk, Turkey Football Federation and Limak Holding Chairman Nihat Özdemir said the dam was present at construction sites.
“WE ARE LIVING THE RISE OF THE RISE OF WORKS TO BE OPENED”
Speaking at the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said:
* We see it as our most important success to carry our country to a climate competing in fighting, fighting, polemics, small accounts, and service politics.
* Since we could not grasp this great change, we are still watching the people who try to survive with the exploitation of the common values of the nation, not with service, work, project policy, but with a smile.

“THE ECONOMY REARS STARTED TO RETURN TO FULL POWER”
Erdogan continued as follows:
* We realize the planned normalization calendar in a balanced way without compromising our health and our country’s priorities.
* The wheels of the economy started to turn full power again.
* We quickly bring life to the normal rhythm in every field in accordance with the mask, distance, cleaning rules, and that’s why we have declared Saturday and Sunday freely at the restriction point, and we have opened the way for our citizens to get on the streets easily.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the dams have a symbolic importance and said:
* As the agricultural land cracks from thirst, people living in the city dry out from thirst, we are dealing with those who fight the values of our own people.
* Dam construction is also a symbol of these backwardness. In 18 years, we brought 585 new dams to the country.
* We witness the concrete pouring work of Yusufeli Dam, which is a pride project. We leave behind the dam’s 3-in-4 implementation.
* Coruh is a very active basin. We serve our country with dams and power plants such as Muratlı and Borcka, which are knee-like on the Coruh River.
* Yusufeli Dam, which we plan to complete in April, is also an imam of this choker.
“ANNUAL 1.5 BILLION LIRA WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE ECONOMY”
Erdogan, who said that the 275 meter body height is equivalent to the height of a 100-storey building, said the following:
* This work, which is entirely the work of our own engineers, will contribute 1 and a half billion lira to our economy and will also protect the Coruh Valley from floods.
* With the dam, roads, bridges, culverts, tunnels and the new Yusufeli district were built.
* A new living space is established here. This work is a rare and huge work.
* It is another source of pride for us that such a work was made between these mountains and that Turkish companies and engineers did it. I congratulate everybody who shed sweat in bringing this work to our country.
“FLOODES WILL NOT LIVE”
Stating that the rehabilitation works continue in Rize, President Erdoğan stated that floods will not be experienced in Taşlıdere Valley anymore thanks to the rehabilitation works implemented.
Erdoğan, who also opened the Bayburt Demirözü Irrigation, said, “We started the construction of this place in 2017 and is now ready for irrigation. The total amount of the investment is 239 million, an important investment has been implemented for the region. ”
PAKDEMİRLİ: THE HEIGHT OF THE DAM COMES TO EYFEL TOWER
Speaking after President Erdoğan, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli said:
* We are casting 3 million concrete in Yusufeli Dam.
* Many projects have been implemented in order not to waste a drop of water.
* An important project is being implemented on the fastest flowing Coruh River in our country.
* Yusufeli Dam and HEPP almost coincide with the Eiffel Tower with its body height. Our dam has now reached a height of 208 meters.
* We achieved a 79 percent physical realization. Yusufeli Dam, which we plan to complete in the 4th month of 2021, will generate 1.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.
* This production figure is equivalent to meeting the electricity need of a city as big as Antalya. This engineering wonder dam will inherit the future as a giant work.
After the speeches, 3 million cubic meters of concrete was poured into the Yusufeli Dam, the opening of the 5th part of Rize’s Central and Güneysu District Taşlıdere Valley rehabilitation and the Bayburt Demirözü Irrigation project were held with the video conference connection made to Artvin, Rize and Bayburt.
