President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made evaluations regarding the Execution Law adopted at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Highlights from Erdogan’s speech are as follows:
* The new enforcement arrangement has been prepared by taking into account the sensitivity of our nation and public conscience as well as the difficulties in implementation.
* This regulation, adopted at the General Assembly, brings very important innovations. With the new execution arrangement, we aimed to make the operation of the system much more fair for both victims and criminals.
* I see our Judicial Reform Strategy as one of the most important links in this process.
The Law on the Execution of Criminal and Security Measures, which includes the enforcement arrangement, and the Law Proposal for Amending Some Laws, were accepted yesterday at the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
