In the post made on the official Twitter account of the municipality, it was announced that the General Directorate of Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) will not cut water for two months for citizens who owe water bills in their housing subscriptions within the scope of hygiene measures.
Citing the relevant share of the municipality, Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş also said the following:

CORONA MEASURES
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) continues its activities throughout the province for the prevention of respiratory disease and control measures. After the Ministry of Health announced that the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) test results in one person in our country was positive, information about the studies on disease prevention in Ankara was shared with the public.
Stating that hygiene studies are continuing throughout the city and in the municipality campus, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality stated the following information about the works carried out within this scope:
* Under the chairmanship of our Deputy Secretary General, Mustafa Kemal ÇOKAKOĞLU, Head of the Department of Health Affairs Seyfettin ASLAN, Head of the Environmental Protection and Watersheds Department, Güven ULUSOY, Health Services Branch Manager, Tuncay AYDIN, EGO Occupational Health Safety Branch Manager Orhan COŞKUN, A commission consisting of Hatice BAYRAKTAR, who works in the Department of Environmental Protection and Control, was established.
* The disinfection procedures initiated in the public service areas of the affiliates of our Municipality, especially the public transportation vehicles used by the public, will be continued.
* Brochures (hand brochure and double-fold brochure) are distributed to ensure that the people of Ankara can effectively fight against epidemic diseases and especially the risk of coronavirus, and billboard, racket board and poster work continues.
* Informative texts of the Ministry of Health related to Covid-19 started to be published on the screens in public transportation vehicles.
* Necessary attempts have been made with the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate and the Provincial Directorate of National Education for the measures to be taken.
* Culture and art activities organized by our Municipality have been temporarily suspended in order to protect the people of Ankara against coronavirus and epidemics.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), held a press conference with the Corona virus (Covid-19) agenda at the headquarters in Geneva.
Stating that the number of cases has increased 13 times outside of China, Ghebreyesus has announced that they have taken the decision for the Corona virus to be described as “Pandemic”, which is given to epidemics that spread over a wide area such as the continent and the whole world.
Ghebreyesus, expressing that the epidemic was monitored for 24 hours as an organization, said: “We are deeply concerned about both the spread and severity of the virus and the inadequate action against the virus. Therefore, we made the assessment that Covid-19 was considered a pandemic. ”
