The fire occurred in a 5-storey building located at Sarmaşık Street in Fındıklı Mahallesi at around 15.30. Realizing the smoke from the 3rd floor of the building, citizens informed the fire brigade and health teams.
There was great fear and panic because of the heavy smoke. Firefighters who came to the scene after the notice, took an old woman trapped in the apartment, out of the window. The woman, who was brought down with the ladder vehicle, was taken to the hospital with an ambulance. 10 people, 1 of whom were stuck in the upper floors, were brought down with a ladder. With the intervention of the fire brigade, the fire was soon extinguished.
