Turkey : Online education for 10 thousand children in the project coding tomorrow

Vodafone Turkey Foundation, which operates with the goal of being the vanguard of social change and development, the scope of the fight against a new type of corona virus epidemic has added a new project to implement. The Foundation has brought the Coding Tomorrow project online, which has been carried out in cooperation with the Habitat Association and has reached over 43,000 children in 60 provinces so far. Accordingly, children between the ages of 7-14 will be able to learn coding through classes to be opened through digital platforms. With the Coding Tomorrow Online Trainings, it is aimed to reach 10 thousand children by the end of the summer.

Chairman of Vodafone Turkey Foundation Hasan Süel, said:

“Distance education is also one of our new normals. We support distance education applications that turn into a social need with our Coding Tomorrow Online Training. We bring our Coding Tomorrow trainings, which we have been carrying out in the classroom, to the online environment. In this direction, we will continue to teach our children between the ages of 7 and 14 through coding through the digital platforms we will open. Our goal is to reach 10 thousand children by the end of the summer.

As a society, we are at a time when we need to act with the spirit of unity and solidarity. During this period, we all have important duties. On this occasion, we celebrate the 23rd of April National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, especially of our children. ”

We make a good start on April 23, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day with our online coding training. With our Coding Tomorrow Online Trainings, we will bring all of our educational content with our children, from the algorithm that is the basis of coding to the coding tools that develop imagination. The imagination of our children, who are the leaders of our future, is an important resource, and we will continue to reveal this imagination and bring it to digital processes. ”

ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMS WILL BE USED

Applications for children who want to participate in the Coding Tomorrow Online Training will be received through their parents and teachers starting April 23. Online training will start on April 25 and will be filled in on the Habitat Association’s website by filling in the form that receives the hyer. Online course link will be sent to the incoming applications for certain dates. Online trainings will be organized through the Learning Management System created.
