Turkey : Science Committee member Özlü said ‘Oh, beware’ and warned: The epidemic is not over

Ministry of Health Coronavirus (corona virus) Scientific Committee Member and Chest Diseases Specialist Prof. Dr. Tevfik Özlü told the citizens that they should not neglect the social distance. Stating that iftar should be done with the households, Özlü said, “We are going well, but let’s not relax and waste all our efforts and troubles to date.”

COOLING WARNING

Reminding that social distance should not be neglected, Özlü made the following warnings:

* Attention! The outbreak is not over. More than 2000 of our yuttas are infected every day and around 100 of our citizens die from this disease.

* We could not put out the fire yet, we got it under control. Then we have to cool down so that a second attack doesn’t start.

* Let’s not violate the social distance by filling the streets, streets and attacking the markets for shopping. Let’s make the iftar with our households.

* Let’s follow the precautions. We are going well, but let’s not relax and waste all our efforts and troubles to date.

SIGN AFTER THE HOLIDAY

Stating that if the rules are followed, it can be restored to normal after Ramadan Feast, Özlü said:

* If we can manage the contamination risks that may occur due to Ramadan and holidays well, if we can prevent contact with people other than households and maintain social distance, we can start to return to normal after the holiday. Otherwise, we may have to wait longer.

* We saw that we could succeed, we understood that we could beat the virus. The measures work. We don’t stay home in vain. So far we have managed the epidemic under control. Turkey, in a much shorter time compared to European countries and to stop the first attack of the epidemic by paying very less price.

* What we have been successful by doing so far; we have to continue exactly. We are not yet at the right time to relax the measures.
