The events started after the black man named George Floyd was killed by the police in Minneapolis, USA and spread to more than 30 cities.
According to the news in the BBC Turkish, barriers were set up in San Jose and Detroit while demonstrators burned the police car in Atlanta and New York.
During the march in Milwaukee, “I can’t breathe” slogans were inspired by Floyd’s last words before his death. In Portland, a fire was set in front of the Palace of Justice.
In Atlanta, which is one of the most intense protests, the windows of some shops were broken and clashes took place between the demonstrators and the police.

200 people were detained in Houston city on charges of “illegal demonstrations”. In protests held in Brooklyn, New York, some demonstrators threw glass and other items into the police. New York police intervened in the actions using tear gas.
