MHP President Devlet Bahçeli made the following statements regarding the resignation of Süleyman Soylu from his social media account:
* Turkey in every field is very intense and hot in the struggle. State-nation solidarity is at the highest level, especially in order to prevent the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. At the same time, today’s painful environment is driven by the spirit of mobilization.
From the terrorism to the economy, from the regional problems to the global impositions, our country stands with tremendous will. In such a fragile period, the intention of resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Süleyman Soylu, is at risk of disrupting the fighting spirit.
* In view of the developments, it is understood that the decision of the Minister of Resignation of the Minister has not been accepted by our President. Of course, appreciation and savings belong to our President. The Nationalist Movement Party is more than happy that the aforementioned resignation is not accepted.
* Mr. Süleyman Soylu earnest, faithful, with shrewd and combative personality Turkey’s most sensitive period successfully fulfilled the tasks undertaken by the ministry. Our wish is for continuing this mission with determination.
