After the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that took place in Sivrice district of Elazig, aid campaign was initiated by Keşan Municipality.
In the tent set up in the garden of Keşan Municipality Atatürk Sports Facilities, products such as food materials, clothing, blankets, stoves and diapers collected from the public will be sent to earthquake victims in the region.

Kesan Mayor Mustafa Helvacıoğlu stated that they called for an aid campaign after the earthquake and said:
* The people of Kesan were very sensitive to this call. We will separate these items. We will pack the unused clothing items and send them to Elazig to be delivered to those in need.
* We have seen once again that the Turkish people are in solidarity in such events. I thank all the Turkish people.

There were also notes with the wishes of “get well soon” written to earthquake survivors among the boxes brought for help. On the envelope on which a child put his toy, the message “You share it, I played it, you play it” was emotional. (DHA)
