The Bazaar and Neighborhood Keepers Law Proposal, which includes regulations such as aid to the public to the bazaar and neighborhood guards, and to give judicial duties to citizens, was accepted by the Parliamentary Interior Commission.
In this context, the bazaar and neighborhood guards working in Kırıkkale started to make General Information Gathering (GBT) inquiries over the identity of the citizens they saw as suspects in order to support the general law enforcement forces that provide peace and security of the city.

With the law enacted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, market and neighborhood guards can now ask for an identity. The suspect will be able to stop the vehicles he sees, use weapons, protect women such as women, children and the elderly who have been victims of violence or harassment, and hand them over to the police forces and help the general law enforcement officers.
