With the onset of the normalization process on the 1st of June after the Corona virus outbreak, the intercity travel restriction was completely removed in 81 provinces.
Those who had the opportunity to lift the travel restriction began to fill the resorts. Turkey and vacationers began to arrive in the world of tourism attraction centers in Muğla’s Bodrum district.
In the hotels, beaches, cafes and restaurants, the ‘new normal’ was adapted and started to operate again within the scope of corona virus measures.
Due to the pandemic process, the prices of rooms, beach use, sunbeds and lodges have been raised in some businesses that are served with low capacity.
The prices of a hotel in Türkbükü, which came to the fore with its high prices in the past, also surprised this year’s prices. In a message sent to customers, it was stated that a price of 1000 TL per day for 2 sunbeds and 24 thousand TL per month was determined.
While it was stated that the room and meal were not included in the prices, it was announced that there was a maximum of 4 chairs, a maximum of 3 sunbeds, 2 beach towels, 2 cold-hot towel service, a fruit plate and a 10 percent discount in food and beverage expenditures.
Bodrum residents who heard the prices reacted to high figures.
Yalçın Baysal, a citizen of Bodrum, who says that the prices are extremely high, said, “I cannot believe these prices. Those who go there are certain. The money goes, but we don’t go. It is a shame, a pity, a sin. ”
“BEHAVIOR ACCORDING TO CELEBRITIES OR TOURISTS”
Gülbahar Savaşçı, who found the prices high, said:
* These prices are not normal at all. In general, life is not expensive in Bodrum. Some places are very economical but change according to people’s preference.
* Going and eating something in Türkbükü is expensive, but eating in the center is more economical. Treatment is made according to the person.
* Normally Bodrum is not that expensive. I think these prices are nonsense. It is treated according to celebrities or tourists.
Süreyya Türkoğlu, who lives in Bodrum in summer and winter, said:
* I heard the prices of this business from my daughter. Terrible figures. I don’t go here, I think. It shouldn’t be that way.
* Businesses are working at half capacity, but it shouldn’t be that much. These businesses were normally expensive places, but will probably not go anymore.
* I have been living here for 6 years. There are places to live for every budget, but you have to choose and look.
* These places are outside my limits, I go to places that fit my limits and I am quite happy.
“SERVING OVER THE SPECIFIC PROFILE”
Serdar Karcılıoğlu, President of Bodrum Professional Hotel Managers Association, who evaluated the prices set by the hotel, said:
0 These prices should not be generalized. This is the package system that a boutique hotel located in Türkbükü applies to its guests.
* Looking at the monthly figures, it looks like an exorbitant figure. Looking at the daily prices, I see that the special service provided is the equivalent.
* The numbers applied are normal. The hotel is already our hotel that serves our citizens above a certain profile. They provide a special service.
* They provide a service that will be used entirely by themselves all day long and that nobody’s back is worth the sun loungers. When I look at the issue from this aspect, I think the numbers are correct.
* These fees are almost the same as the prices people spend on the beaches before the corona virus.
* Hotels were also asked to reduce their capacity by half. People who are not inside the pitch will think they are too high.
The owner of the business in Bodrum, Selin Özsuer, said the following:
* We have taken all precautions due to the Corona virus. Our capacities have dropped. The number of people, the number of seats, the number of chairs have been reduced. Currently reservations have started.
Unfortunately our outsourced guests did not. We hope that people will start coming because they are under a lot of quarantine. There is some movement. We are currently working with a 25 percent capacity from June. (DHA)
