Turkey : The minister announced: We have great preparations

National Education Minister Ziya Selcuk, Turkey around the special needs students met with their families via video conferencing.

At the meeting, the families conveyed their recommendations regarding both the epidemic process and its aftermath. Stating that everyone lives a private life with very special children, Minister Selçuk stated that they strive to do their best in order to facilitate the lives of families and to provide better education services for special children.

Reminding that many publications have been shared for children with special needs, a mobile application called ‘I am Specially in Education’ has been launched and a separate generation has been prepared for children under special education in TRT EBA TV, Minister Selçuk also wrote his book entitled ‘Fun Activities Calendar with Our Special Children’. once showed to families here.

WORKSHOP PREPARATION

Minister Selçuk stated that after the epidemic process, a large workshop on the educational needs of special children is being prepared, and said:

* In the field of special education, we have great preparations for the adaptation of our children with regard to adapting our teachers to new approaches. We work with academics worldwide.

* We exchange views. Our bureaucrats and executives tell us the needs in this regard, but we also wanted to talk directly to parents. How we can realize what you say, we hold these meetings to say ‘Let’s take our homework’.

SAFE AND RISK-FREE

Underlining that the important point here is a safe and risk-free return to the classes, Minister Selçuk said, “We do not want to cause health-related problems when we say we give education to our children.”

Minister Selçuk also promised to do more work on the education of special children, with the workshop to be held as soon as possible after the outbreak. (DHA)
