Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Aşhanesi continues to deliver hot meals to citizens over 65 years old and citizens with chronic illnesses who are banned from leaving their homes during the corona virus outbreak. The number of meals distributed in the corona virus process has reached up to 9 thousand per day from the Metropolitan Municipality Office, as part of our Ours One Love Story campaign. Since 22 March, the number of people serving food has exceeded 200 thousand.

Serdal Gökayaz, Head of the Social Services Department of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, stated that the work that has been continuing since 22 March has now exceeded 200 thousand citizens:
* March 22 was the day when curfew was imposed on our citizens over 65 due to a pandemic. Since then, we have been serving food to the citizens of our citizens over 65 years old.
* During the period from March 22 to today, we have distributed over 200 thousand meals. We had established a crisis center within the Metropolitan Municipality.
Our citizens over the age of 65, who applied to our crisis center, print their names, share their address information with us and take their meals to their homes from that day on.
