In Diyarbakır, which has recently become one of the favorite holiday destinations of domestic and foreign tourists, it was forbidden to go over the walls for security reasons. Especially in the historical Sur district, Hz. Although it is forbidden to climb over the walls in the Süleyman Mosque area, citizens continue to climb the walls without worrying about taking photographs.
“We DON’T LIKE THE PROHIBITIONS”
Metin Hasgümüş, who made statements in front of the sign “It is dangerous and forbidden to go to the walls”, asked for a signboard to be hung around the walls. Hasgümüş said he disliked the bans and said:
* We left because we were wondering, we are from the locals of Diyarbakır. We are curious about the final version, the interior, the Hevsel Gardens. On such a high hill, we take our curiosity. We do not like the prohibitions. Protection measures, warning signs can be hung, officers can be put in order not to leave.
Whatever is done, you cannot prevent this. People somehow go out to satisfy their curiosity.
“I HAVE TO GET OUT”
Rıfat Kıcınuk stated that the officials should be present in order not to get out of the walls, and that Diyarbakır youth should be made conscious and guided in order to better promote the history and support the economy.
Kıcınuk said:
* The local youth of this place can be raised, guide here, tourists come, we earn money and our young people become conscious and have a job.
* These are very nice things. It is forbidden to go out to the walls, but I have to go out to satisfy that curiosity, even if they have a wire or a ban, they cannot be prevented.
* There must be a staff here, there is no other way. Our guests say they want to go out, and I do it, even though it is forbidden. (IHA)
