Future Party and Party’s President, Ahmet Davutoğlu, issued a statement, arguing that the City University was targeted after the adoption of the “Higher Education Law and the Law Proposal for Amendment to Some Laws”.
“ONE OF THE EXAMINATION EXAMPLES OF THE CORRUPTION CLIMATE”
Despite the claim that “what happened to the City University is one of the grave examples of the corruption climate we experience in all areas in authoritarianism, injustice and lawlessness,” he said, “Despite the claim that it was made in relation to foundation universities, many of the articles giving a bespoke image point to the city university and the foundation. The regulation, which aims to dominate the universities, is remarkable in terms of showing how our country is going through the process of domination ”.
“AN EXTENSION OF THE POLITICAL ISSUES TO DAVUTOĞLU”
The following statements were included in the Future Party’s assessment of the law in question:
* With the regulation, it was aimed to scrape the power and reliability of foundation universities, destroy the energy of our human potential, who want to improve our historical experience, and eliminate pluralism and freedom of academic thought.
* The fact that such a step is included in a midnight operation and is desired to be concluded as if it was a fire from the fire clearly reveals the main political goals.
It is clear that even in these days when we experience the corona process, this action of a mindset that does not hesitate to take steps on the economy-politics of rent and turn the crisis into the opportunity in its favor in every field, has nothing to do with the ‘public interest’.
* At the same time, this grave development also provides our children with a bright future, our educational slots; It has shown that an understanding that does not value as much as sports clubs, press organizations and construction firms whose financial problems are eliminated through public banks dominates the management.
* Within this framework, the fact that the laws enacted and added in the extraordinary period are instrumentalized by means of the academic life and existence of a training center is an extension of the political animosity towards our President Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu, and it has become clear that there is no doubt in the public conscience.
“THE POWER THAT TRANSLATES SCIENTISTS TO LEAD MILITARY”
The Party of the Future will continue to stand up to the end of its domination against the freedom of expression, free enterprise, and academic independence of the power that has deserted our country in every field.
* They will be able to make history as a government that closes the university, tries to align academics with the product of coup and YÖK, which must be closed years ago, and to turn universities into regular soldiers like the 28 Februaryists, and to turn scientists into lead soldiers like the 1980 coups.
DAVUTOĞLU: THE REPUTATION OF THE TBMM HAS BEEN IMPACTED
Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu made the following assessment of the law;

* The deputies, who see signing the law proposals that come before them as being deputies without reading them, and raising their hands without raising any mental and conscientious inquiries in the voting, will not be able to get rid of the judgment of the conscience.
“WASHING IT, DOING IT, IMPROVING FALLS TO US”
* Shallow and authoritarian mentality owners may have experienced the pride of punishing those who did not think like themselves last night, and conscience holders who witnessed a decade-long mind of labor have experienced the sadness of the wisdom they thought they had lost.
* But those arrogance should not see their power as absolute, and those who have conscience should never lose themselves.
* It is our duty to destroy them, to make them, to liquidate and to revive them. We will revive every abandoned value, give credibility to every institution worn, and revive every tradition tried to be liquidated in accordance with its original and spirit of time.
