The 5.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Hoy city of Iran last Sunday caused damage in Van.
Many buildings were destroyed in the village of Kaşkol, Güvendik, Özpınar and Gelenler in the district of Başkale. Four of them were children, nine were killed; 50 people, two of them were seriously injured.
According to the information obtained from the authorities, the number of people who lost their lives increased to 10. (DHA)
