Following the epidemic of the corona virus, which has taken the world by storm, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has started work to control businesses that put citizens in a difficult situation with excessive price increases in the panic atmosphere.
I TRYED OUTSTANDING PRICE INCREASES
IMM Directorate of Police Department Consumer Rights Police Department carried out inspections in some of the food products in the market, in which there were exceptional price increases, and in medical stores and pharmacies selling medical equipment related to the sale of colognes, surgical masks, 3M masks.
It was determined that the masks are not enough
During the inspections carried out by the Police Department teams, it was observed that there was no problem in the supply of foodstuffs. However, it was determined that the supply of surgical masks in the market was insufficient due to exports.
222 WORKPLACES AUDITED
Within the scope of the audits; A total of 222 workplaces, including 96 pharmacies, 56 medical product stores, 70 food-selling businesses, were examined. A determination report about 35 workplaces that do not comply with the provisions of the Law on the Protection of Consumers was issued and sent to the Governorship of Istanbul for decision. The inspections of the İBB Police Team continue.
