The first stop of Imamoglu and the accompanying delegation was Bulbuleresi Rain Water Tunnel Construction site in Sultantepe District. Getting information about the work from Mermutlu and Turkmen, Imamoglu instructed the TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine-Tunnel Boring Machine) to start the excavation work with the help of a radio.

“ÜSKÜDAR WILL BEGIN LIVING FROM THESE IMAGES”

Imamoglu said:

* In Üsküdar Square, there was a problem of rainwater accumulation and integration with the sea. With the rain water that we will transfer to the sea from 3 points in a healthy way, that image will disappear.

* This is one of those arms. We started the TBM study on the Bulbuleresi line. In the words of my friends, there is a period of 8-9 months. We will act in the fastest way. Hopefully, when we see the result, our Üsküdar will begin to experience a process away from those images. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed. ”

“AN IMPORTANT PROJECT”

Stating that the tunnel work is of vital importance to Üsküdar, Türkmen said:

* The place where two streams meet, Bülbülderesi on one side and Çavuşdere on the other, is Üsküdar Square. Rain waters from the basins of these two streams accumulate in Üsküdar Square. It both disrupts transportation and poses a certain degree of danger.

* Therefore, the waters coming from the tunnel coming from Ahmediye will be transferred to the sea from Salacak. That tunnel is okay.

* Now, there will be a TBM on Selman-ı Park Caddesi, Bülbülereesi. There is a 900-meter tunnel here. We will have flowed the water of these two streams into the sea with these tunnels before they occur.

* An important project. A vital project for Üsküdar. I hope this problem will be eliminated when it is completed in early 2021.
