It was determined that 2 persons coming from abroad in Karabük did not comply with the 14-day quarantine period for preventive purposes within the scope of combating the corona virus.
Regarding the said situation, Karabük Provincial Health Directorate determined that they did not consider the 14-day quarantine period. and S.Ü. He filed a criminal complaint with the Karabük Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on the grounds that they threaten public health.
In the case of Safranbolu Magistrates’ Court on 22 March 2020, G.Ü. and S.Ü. stated that they do not and will not comply with the 14-day quarantine period previously communicated to them by the district health directorate and police teams.
Thereupon, by the court, G.Ü. Pursuant to Article 32 of the TMK and Article 73 of the General Sanitary Law and S.Ü., they were detained not to be released from their homes until March 26, 2020.
In addition, the article submitted by the Karabük Provincial Health Directorate at the trial hearing stated that the citizens’ Covid-19 tests were negative, but that the individuals could show signs of disease within 14 days despite their negative results, and therefore they wanted a precautionary decision in order to protect the public health.
