Turkey : İmamoğlu: I know that some media organizations are hurting

Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem ImamogluAfter the Kaynarca-Pendik-Tuzla Metro Line Construction Restart Ceremony, he answered the questions of journalists. İmamoğlu, “What do you think about the alleged speeches made by İBB Deputy Secretary General Yeşim Meltem Şişli?” gave the following answer to the question.

THIS IS A HUMAN CANNOT HAVE A PLACE FOR ME

– We started our investigations on this issue, a legal process was also started. The outcome of the process is of course very important for us, our institution and our colleague. But let’s underline a few issues here. First; Nowhere I am, no coworker, no companion can insult anyone because of their belief, ethnicity, lifestyle, clothing, and wear.
A person acting in this way does not want to work with me anyway. Such a person cannot have a place with me. It’s that clear.

MALE STRENGTHS

– There is another point that needs attention. People who write in newspapers, people with a number of political statements… I say for men, I condemn those who define this process with male draft, galiz and heavy expressions. I would expect the so-called women rights activists to say something to a newspaper with very despicable expressions, namely a headline, a woman named ‘immoral woman’.

HAVE MILLIONS OF REVENUE

– I know some media organizations are hurt. Why are they hurt? Because, these are the media organizations that have benefited for years through different organic relationships with IMM. Education? you are looking at the media organization got the job. Is it transportation? the media agency got the job. Or a supply tender or a service tender; that media organization took the job again. These are the institutions that have earned millions and tens of millions of lira.

I condemn the bad language they use

– I understand the abdominal pain of those media outlets. I understand your troubles. I also condemn that bad language they use. It is also made for me. Even; Shamefully, a man-dignified person, using the name of my mother, gives a message to the society, immorally, through that name and that concept. The more immoral statements there are, they are both legal and conscientious in our pursuit.

ALL ABOUT YEŞİM MELTEM ŞİŞLİ

İMM Deputy Secretary General Yeşim Meltem Şişli’s İSMEK manager directed women: ‘How can you wear the headscarf in the heat of this summer? Isn’t it difficult to be closed? Many of you are also single. If you want, let’s bring you together with the firefighters tonight. ‘
