Turkey : Municipalities with CHP continue their aid when their accounts are blocked

With the circular issued by the Ministry of Interior, it also blocked the soup kitchen aid accounts of Antalya’s CHP’s Muratpaşa Municipality, CHP’s Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and Odunpazarı municipalities after it did not grant donations to CHP municipalities for the corona virus solidarity.

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Soup Kitchen has been working for more than a thousand citizens for 25 years. Municipal officials are trying to stand by the needy with the in-kind aid, even though the cash aid to the municipality has been cut.

After the soup kitchen donation accounts were blocked, in-kind help from the citizens started to pour in cash.

The soup kitchen provides hot food for those who are unable to cook, and supplies food to those who are able to cook.
