According to the information obtained, the fire occurred in the 3-storey building located at Mehmet Akif Ersoy Street in Gökpınar District of Pamukkale district at around 23.00 yesterday evening.
In the area used as the boiler room on the first floor of the 3-storey building, a fire broke out as a result of the ignition of the substances around the boiler. Citizens in the neighborhood, who saw the flames, reported to the police and firefighters.
A large number of police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. While the police teams evacuated the citizens inside the building, firefighters started to extinguish the flames. While there was no loss of life in the incident, material damage occurred. Police launched an investigation into the incident. (IHA)
