According to reports in the Swiss media, Swiss President Simonetta Sommaruga said the government will consider options for the tourism industry in mid-May.
Sommaruga, after talks with entrepreneurs from the tourism industry, said in a radio show: “There are a number of options. It is very important for people to know that they can go on vacation in Switzerland. ”
At the meeting attended by Economy Minister Guy Parmelin and Interior Minister Alain Berset, all participants agreed that the summer season is important for tourism, but that appropriate solutions should be found within the scope of health safety to prevent the epidemic from spreading again.
The Swiss government, which plans steps to provide some opportunities for domestic tourism, is gradually moving to normal life.
With the remaining quarantine conditions in Switzerland, first-selling stores, florists, hairdressers, dentists and physiotherapists were allowed to reopen from Monday.
In the second stage determined for May 11, primary schools and all stores will reopen as the number of infections continues to decrease.
Other sectors such as tourism, sports and entertainment are waiting for news when they will start operating.
