It has been announced that the Science and Art Foundation will be managed by the General Directorate of Foundations until a trustee is appointed by the court.
General Directorate of Foundations said, “The transaction made consists of execution of the executive judgment of the law. This action is the act of protecting the legal personality of the Science and Art Foundation, protecting its tangible assets and establishment objectives ”.
In the statement made by the General Directorate of Foundations, the following statements were used:
* The commission of the Science and Arts Foundation upon receipt and the management of the commission was carried out in accordance with the tenth paragraph of the additional article 11 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 (the founding foundation is managed by the General Directorate of Foundations until the trustee is appointed by the Court).
* The transaction made consists of the performance of the executive judgment of the law. The law of the foundation has been preserved immediately and its management will be executed by a commission of three (3) people, a jurist, a real estate expert and a financial expert.

“Public Statement on the Appointment of a Trustee to the Science and Art Foundation
On 21.01.2020, a three-person delegation sent by the General Directorate of Foundations took over the management of the Foundation for Science and Arts.
Previously, with the decision of the General Assembly of YÖK on 19.12.2019, the management of İstanbul Şehir University was transferred to Marmara University, the university that is the protector.
As a continuation of this unfair practice, it is in no way suitable for justice and justice to see such treatment in our foundation, which has been serving the educational and cultural life of our country for forty years.
This arbitrary attitude is a grave step in our hundreds of years of foundation tradition that can lead to great destruction; It is a dangerous initiative that concerns not only the Science and Art Foundation, but all the foundations in our country.
