Speaking about the workers’ quit action, Turkish Metal Union Tofaş Branch President Bayram Ömürlü said, “We had an organizational work here. We also received a certificate of authorization from the Family Labor and Social Services Directorate. The employer objected. We had a hearing at the 8th Labor Court on 25 February. They fired another friend last week. Great mobbing is done to resign from the union. The friends who came in the morning shift did not work. They want their friends to be taken back, ”he said.
MEET BEFORE THE FACTORY
A group of workers gathered in front of the factory protested the layoffs by shooting slogans. The workers said they would continue this action until their fired friends were taken back. Turkish Metal Union also supported the workers.
